Ingredients
Making delicious slow oven cooked baby back ribs is easier than it may seem. All you need is the following ingredients:
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 3 tablespoons of paprika
- 2 tablespoons of garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons of onion powder
- 2 tablespoons of ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup of olive oil
- 1/2 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup of honey
You will also need a large baking sheet, aluminum foil, and a meat thermometer.
Instructions
Begin by preheating the oven to 300°F. Line the baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray it with cooking spray. Place the ribs onto the baking sheet and set aside.
In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cumin, and red pepper flakes. Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of the ribs. Place the ribs in the oven and bake for 2 hours.
In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, BBQ sauce, and honey. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush the mixture on both sides of the ribs. Place the ribs back in the oven and bake for an additional 1 hour.
Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the ribs. The ribs are done when the internal temperature reaches 200°F. Slice the ribs and serve with your favorite sides.
